My name is Gilles Florent, and I have been an enthusiastic stained glass artist for over 30 years.
After a few years of learning and working as an apprentice, I opened my own studio (Studio Florent) in Belgium. I specialized in restoring, conserving, and protecting traditional stained glass windows.
In 2003, I relocated to Israel, and while continuing my work in the restoration field, I also started to develop my activities towards creating new stained glass projects.
Working closely with architects, interior designers, and artists, helped me to integrate a more contemporary and artistic approach to stained glass while using the same traditional techniques.
My projects include commissions for various public spaces, such as churches, synagogues, cemeteries, museums, restaurants, pubs, and more, as well as for private homes.
